The towers on the Halicarnassos fortification walls are located on the high hills surrounding the present Bodrum center and at strategic points. Unlike wall construction, harder rocks were used in the construction of the tower. The towers are basically structures with a filling, a room with an arsenal, a room with windows for surveillance and defense on the second floor, and a creamed roof. Their height is 11 meters.
10 towers have been unearthed in the area, which is located between the Bardakçı-Gumbet junction and has been cleaned.
The height of the existing towers has reached the present day at a height of 1 to 4 m in places, depending on the destruction of time.
